First EMAS e-learning module now on EU LEARN

Cover of the EMAS e-learning course

We’re excited to announce the launch of the very first EMAS e-learning course - a joint collaboration between the European Commission (EC) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) - now available to all European institutions and agencies on EU Learn!

This training will be part of a Greening Learning Package soon to be offered via EU Learn (stay tuned!) and is tailored for EMAS teams, greening correspondents and/or coordinators of European institutions and agencies.

The training is divided into two modules:

What is EMAS?

  • The first module explains what EMAS is and how it works, why we implemented it in European institutions and agencies, and how we are benefiting from it in a wider global and European context.

EMAS in Action – The EBA case study

  • The second module presents a successful case study of implementing EMAS at the European Banking Authority. It highlights the key elements, such as: the environmental policy, the EMAS scope, interested parties, roles and responsibilities, as well as the areas of action adopted by the Authority.

Originally developed by the EBA in 2022 and recently updated based on the recommendations from the European Commission, this training is a great way to build your EMAS know-how.
