The 0.5-day event online event was co-organised by the Commission and the Mediterranean Posidonia Network (MPN), represented by the Office Français de la Biodiversité (OFB) and Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF). It focused on developing structured recommendations to support Member State (MS) authorities in effectively integrating relevant seagrass restoration measures into their national restoration plans (NRPs).
The programme combined a series of online presentations from leading experts on Posidonia habitat restoration, panel sessions and participant Q&A sessions. MPN representatives introduced a ‘Roadmap for Integrating Seagrass into National Restoration Plans’ already anticipated in the background document.
