EU-wide Implementation Support Event: “Natura 2000 and Climate Change: from guidance to practice – flexibility and adaptive management”

This three-day in-person event for national and regional nature conservation authorities will provide a dedicated space for exchange among the European Commission and Member State representatives on the practical application of the new Commission guidance on Natura 2000 and Climate Change. 

It will combine plenary presentations, moderated discussions, thematic working groups, and a field visit, with a view to supporting Member States in developing a common understanding of how Natura 2000 management can contribute to climate mitigation and adaptation and respond to climate change in a legally sound, ecologically robust, and operationally feasible manner.
